Good | Bad | Rad #18 – Naked Trees & Emotions

A look back at some of the best, hardest and most surprising parts of my week.

The Good

Naked Trees. Looking out my office window has been changing with the seasons. I’ve watched it transform from a lovely treed view, to a lovely river view. Yay for seasons!

The Bad

Regret. This is a painful one. I have talked about regret before, but I have lots more to say, but not quite yet. Soon.

The Rad

Going Meta. I’d love to say that I don’t get stuck in my own stuff, that I don’t have issues, that I have it all figured out, (I’m a Life Coach afterall!) but I would be lying. I do think that my work and training helps me to see things sooner, and have a wide range of generally painless resources to get myself unstuck.

This week I found myself in a number of situations where I was so grateful for that. I love how quickly I can remember the map is not the territory and that I can change my experience by changing my feelings. I spent more time than I’d like to admit worrying that my blogging was in peril. When I stepped outside the stream of (not at all helpful) thoughts and went meta to the situation, I could clearly see that there was a simple way to change the situation. Stem the worry. And move on.

I quit asking myself the most unhelpful question in the world, and just did it.

And you?

  • Naked trees, yes, yes, and all of the yes to that. Fascinating and gorgeous stuff.

Good: Our blog seems to now “exist” online
    Bad: Sinus infection – grotesque
Rad: Our marriage is growing right along with the blog and our biz
